  2. Twelve days since you guys released this chapter and not a single word of gratitude yet?
Well, here are mine: thank you very much for your hard work!
Claymore is being released in my country up to volume 12 already and I've purchased them all. But I will aways prefer the fans translation.

  3. Thank you :). We know that our scanlation are of crappy quality (we're not improving raw much, some basic cleaning and cloning) and we can't compete with "professional" groups like MangaStream but since we're doing a Polish scanlation we've decided to make an English version too but with gernot's translation. Unfortunately, even though his translations are the best they're not being used by any group (and he has been translating Claymore for over 2 years now) which annoyed me and that's when I decided to release 95th chapter with gernot's translation. Personally I prefer scanlation with better (i.e. more literal and closer to the original) translation than quality. Everything might change soon though, since Manga Stream might start using gernot's translation and hire him for their group. It's a good news since we'll receive good quality and the best translation but one thing that really annoys me in MS are their watermarks. So we will probably continue scanlating Claymore(if we will have time and nothing will change in our lives drastically), even more so if gernot will correct his translation or slightly change it (Manga Stream is a speed scanlating group and doesn't release version two).

  4. No, I can't agree! I've read all scanlated Claymore chapters so far and yours are pretty good. I hate the way MangaStream deliver their scanlations, constraining the readers to read on-line by opening page after page without the possibility to download the whole chapter as a single file. Also they only keep just a few chapters on-line, the oldest ones are removed. That is crappy to me, so I never follow their releases. My thanks to your staff and Gernot, please keep the good work.

  6. Next release date for Claymore manga?

  7. Jump SQ will come out on April 21st and since Easter is coming I'm not sure we'll deliver our version by the end of April. But I'm sure that MS will release the chapter on April 21st (possibly sooner) and probably with gernot's translation so there will be no hurry.

  8. By the way, where did you got these 4-koma that are decorating Mib website?

  9. They're from Claymore databooks but I can't remember which one :/. I'm not sure where you can find them now. You can try this: http://www.mediafire.com/?djhhd3snmkd and this link: http://www.mediafire.com/?bgoayxlz8cb
You can also check here: http://mangahelpers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17996

  10. Thank you very much! Unfortunately that mangahelpers thread is outdated. Here is the new location of Claymore Data Book 3 (raw, completed), if anybody else is interested:

Is there any chance of Gernot translating the 4-komas if we ask him politely? =)

  11. I think they've been translated. Look here: http://s680.photobucket.com/albums/vv162/LordRyus/Claymore%20Databook%20general/

  12. Awesome! Thank you again!
Seeing the characters in SD form is more funny than the jokes they tell though. =)

  13. That's the reason I've chosen original versions as the background. They also don't distract the reader (unless he knows Japanese). If it was written in English I think it could and since Japanese people don't visit this site (obviously) and people who know Japanese in general it works perfectly :].

  14. BTW, stay tuned because in next few days chapters 93, 94 and 81 (with gernot's translation of course) should be published.

  15. Leaving the 4-koma in Japanese was the best choice, however I think they still distract the reader, this isn't a big issue though.

I've downloaded Gernot's chapters 83~86 (minus 84) and I found the typesetting and the font chosen real bad, also I'm used to the available translations of these chapters. Some of Gernot's sentences seems better, but others don't. I don't know when he started translating, but I think he improved with the time, when I read the latest translations.

  16. Regarding the Claymore Data Books, do you know if they were released along the Japanese tankubons?

I have another question. Miata obviously can't be other thing besides an offensive claymore, so when the awakened Bood Red Agatha chopped off her hands, she reattached them or renenerated them, in spite of being an offensive claymore, to toss her sword against Agatha? What do you think?

  17. @Kamugin
This is not the best place for discussions (for example I can't edit posts, only delete them, hence double posts), I recommend going to the biggest Claymore forum there is - Animesuki (my nick there is Gooral) and then we can talk :) (although be advised that you can't mention scanlation groups there or links to them, e.g. "AnyManga" site).

I can answer you shortly however. AFAIK they weren't released in any tankobons (although I've found a long time ago scanlation of v. 13 with one of the databooks at the end of it, but it was probably added by a scanlator).

As for Miata, she reattached her hand and regenerated only very small parts of her hands and with monstrous youki she has I think it was possible.

  18. I was thinking the same, we need a forum to discuss these subjects. Thank you again for the link.
