Chapter 126

Chapter 126: Tishare | GameFront | Box.net | Batoto | Discussion | Thank Gernot

imagebam.com

So here's the last Claymore chapter we will get in a while. I doubt it's THE END but you never know. Until we'll get some information from Jump Square editors or Yagi himself we won't know. As you've noticed there is no MF link above and that's because our MF accounts have been suspended and files deleted. Instead you can download chapter using as good file hosts as MF (I especially recommend TS and GF). We probably could use MF if we would encrypt the files, use some random names and password and did some other stuff but it requires more work than it's worth (not to mention it's bothersome for downloaders). Hence we'll be using these. If you want you can share links to MF (assuming you will post a direct link, no advertisements in the middle), there are probably some mediafiretards that refuse to use anything else :P. But to be honest these 3 links (+online readers) should suffice. No captcha, no waiting and quite decent speeds even for unregistered users should be enough to make you forget about MF.

Update:
Here's last part of a batch of our releases. http://tishare.com/y2l8wywb32if.htm
Chapter 126th in this batch isn't of the latest version, use the links above for that.

  1. Thanks, hope it doesn't end here. Otherwise I'd like to see a sequel where they move to the main continent.

  2. The end, surely not? That came out of nowhere. And there's still so much to cover, isn't there?

    1. Man, this is lame! Where is Claire? I thought she's the protagonist. Honestly, Claymore has been losing its flavor for the last year or two. The story line has been losing its direction. Yagi has been prolonging the series with some boring fights and then... "Ooppps! I don't know where to go from here! Let's end this!". It's been obligatory downloading for me with regard to Claymore for the last 2 years. We need more mangaka like Kentaro Miura who keeps expanding his BERSERK universe with no sight of ending but still somehow keeps the readers interested.

      it's just... WTF!!

  3. Oh no, this can't be the end.
My guess is that the author needed a break to get info or something, so they'll probably bring it back in another title.

  4. Is this really the last chapter?

What does Japanese Wiki say about this? http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/CLAYMORE

I checked manga updates and Wiki (English) and both say it's still ongoing but they're not that reliable, so I thought Japanese Wiki might've got some more reliable info.

  5. Thank you for translating !!

but the ending is so lame!

  6. Could someone clarify what going on? Because Claymore showed no sings of ending at all. Even that last chapter didnt close things up in the slightest <_<,,

  7. Thank you for the chapter!

    WTF?

I'm reading Claymore for five years for this?

    What a Waste...

  8. Relax everyone. I'm 99% sure that we will get continuation of the story but maybe under a different name and magazine. This change might actually be profitable for us all. I also wouldn't be surprised if during the hiatus we would get some more Extra Scenes. For now it looks like this chapter is a clear cut, a mark in the story, a turning point. In a month at the longest we will know what's really going on.

  9. Could this possibly be related to Negima ending early?

    1. That's VERY disturbing indeed. That would also explain why there isn't any news from Jump Square and why we weren't noticed earlier about Claymore having the last chapter. Yagi just said to them f**k you motherfathers and they were as surprised as we were (the difference is they've deserved it). Seriously, this SOPA, ACTA, PIPA and things like that have to stop. Soon we will have more rights in the North Korea...

  11. "The curtain drops on the long history of this land's organisation." That organisation being the Claymores. That's what I Think the Claymore - End is referring to there. Anybody able to read the original japanese care to comment?

  13. Thanks, if this is the end, I'll never forget you guys/gals.

  14. Hmm, I just read AstroNerdBoy's article about the New Proposed Japanese copyright law, and I agreed with Goral and ANB that the publishers are out of line concerning copyrights. They're trying hard to aggregate more profits by claiming mangakas' works to be their own. I really hope this law will never be enacted, for that would be the end of manga and other creative works as we know it (in any country).
Thanks MIB for the chapter, which hopefully not a last one.

  15. I believe "the end" thing refers to the organization. Otherwise this would be pretty much a very crap way to finish the series.

  16. Let's not freak out (yet) and wait to see what happens.

  17. In the prior century, some of the USA publishers tried to use the "work for hire" clause of the USA Copyright law in order to "take control" of the author's works. The authors responded by going to publishers who DIDN'T do that as there were some major alternate ones available with adequate distribution lines into the major booksellers.

The only way in the USA to prevent authors from going to a competing publisher is to get a corporation-friendly congress and president to pass a law to force authors signing "first publishing rights" contracts to be legally considered as "work for hire". Currently they are not. A non-first publishing rights contract would not be allowed as a work for hire unless some lawsuit somehow invalidated the existence of the first publishing situation (which might be possible in the USA since SCOTUS ruled that it is possible in the USA to have works that are legally in the public domain be pulled back into the private domain by a corporation filing a lawsuit vs the public (if you in the public wished to prevent it, you would have to pay for the defense or find a pro-bono lawyer)).

    1. You could have linked it already Kamugin, let me fix it: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2012-05-03/claymore-manga-series-ends-in-jump-square-magazine

But to be honest, there's nothing new in this ANN news (at least to those who followed what was going on, hence I encourage you to go to Mangahelpers). In fact it's encouraging that they state there's still no official statement from Yagi. My guess is, he's negotiating a better contract once the old one expired (BTW, it's very close to those 25 volumes Yagi said he was planning on doing), i.e. you give me more freedom of what I write and more percentage of the profits and I'll stay.

I also suspect that Yagi was prolonging the Hysteria fight for so long only to fill volumes and reach this point. He planned this long ago and didn't want to start Clare thread since that would require many more chapters.

  22. I hate to break it to you Goral, but even in the comments to that Negima article people pointed out that this "law" is quite far from being passed as nothing like it has even been introduced yet. Let's not run around like headless chicken every time someone spreads rumors about special interest lobbying. There's enough of this crap flying around as it is, like the shady TPP process somebody mentioned in the comments there.

    1. Don't know about others but I'm very calm. However, even a possibility of such a law being enacted is a very disturbing news and deserves more publicity before it will be to late to do anything. Laws such as these are often made secretly and once people know about them it's already enacted (or close to it).

  23. Yeah, so what are you going to do, fly over to Japan and camp out in front of the Diet building? Who cares how much publicity this gets among Western fans. In this case it's an internal Japanese matter and Japanese fans can get Akamatsu's message directly, not through the rumor mill of random English blogs.

It's a waste of time to worry about this just because someone misleadingly called this "a new law". Yeah, I bet some random blogger got the scoop on this that was totally missed by all the usual anime and manga news sources. I know you're big on getting accurate translations of Claymore, so you should really pay attention when people point out there was no mention of any "law" in Akamatsu's article. The blogger who posted this doesn't know Japanese, and he even says he's relaying a "quick translation of a quick Chinese translation" by some other fan. How many times have we gotten wrong impressions with Claymore "translations" like that? People really don't give a damn about the facts anymore as long as they can look cool by spreading the latest "news". Pisses me off.

    1. And how do you know it's not a "new law" being it the works? Any sources? If not, I don't see the point of your whining. You don't like people making a storm in the glass of water (let's hope it is only that) you don't have to participate.

I've read about this law being in the works before and I seriously doubt someone would make up a lie like this. And even if it would apply to Kodansha only it's still very disturbing since that would set a very ugly precedent (but I seriously doubt iyt would apply to Kodansha only).

      Delete
  24. Dude, be serious. I never said anyone was lying, what I said was this information was inaccurate, even the blogger admits this. I don't know about you, but for me shouting "a new law" about something that's merely being lobbied for is bullshit. Can you explain to me why it's OK to call it "a new law" when that's never mentioned by Akamatsu who should know better than any of us? Damn, the way you approach translations, I would've thought you'd have more respect for accurate reporting.

This isn't the first time I see this "urgent" information passed around, and it's always sourced back to the same blog. You'd think that if this were a huge issue, you'd have more varied sources with a proven track record reporting on this. If you say you've heard of this before, do you have something that doesn't lead back to the same blog? The whole "Is X the reason for Y?" style reporting is a staple of tabloid journalism, because that way you can get a lot attention, but you're not responsible for your claim because you've posed it as a hypothetical. I'm not saying that blog is a tabloid, but this kind of reporting in general pisses me off.

Just so you know, I'm not "whining" about anything. I leave that to the people spreading this around. I don't mean this personally against you, but I've heard a lot of whining surrounding this issue with no actual action. That's not even surprising because there's literally nothing we can do about this either way. I've actually gone to anti-ACTA demos and I even managed to get my local paper to pick up a good analysis of the problems with ACTA I found online. We should do what we can in our own back yard, we can't do anything about this internal Japanese issue. I'm also not against letting people know about this, but I don't think being inaccurate and exaggerating this helps anyone.

    1. Firstly, I didn't say you said he was lying. Read with comprehension please. Secondly you have an awful lot to say for someone who considers this as bullshit (or as I've put it "a storm in the glass of water"). Thirdly, you are whining. You've written a wall of text being butthurt that someone called it a law (which it would be if it would apply to every publisher). Lastly, what does accurate translation have to do with a speculation in the comments section on some tiny blog where almost no one visits (even for reading the chapter)? You're being silly - dude. Not to mention that nowhere here has anyone stated it's the absolute truth, you're just treating it as such and whining about it for some strange reason. EOT.

  25. I read many series from jump sq. 19.

    And I saw This:

Can someone tell me what it means?
It has a connection with Claymore?

    Sorry. My English are bad.

    1. Jump SQ 19 is something different than Jump Square. In 19 there are one shots or special and until recently it was a quarterly magazine. It has nothing to do with Claymore besides the fact that in the newest issue there was Claymore special in it.
